My daughter’s preschool is closed for the week, so I am working from home. No burning wood in the studio for me! It’s a fun chance to revisit drawing with ink, which I love. This is a small piece I’m working on right now using my Micron .5mm pen on a 9″ x 12″ sheet of watercolor paper.
The circle above is about 2″ diam. so far with hundreds of those little pinhole-sized white “seed” details. I can’t seem to stop myself from creating tiny, tiny, TINY details on everything I do! It’s a bit of an obsession.
I create burned wood engravings that combine my love of the textures and patterns found in nature with a deep interest in the unconscious world of dreams, symbols and mythic folklore.
